A little over a year ago, I made the decision to pause this blog. At the time, I felt pulled in many directions, needing space to reflect, learn, and focus on my own growth. In all honesty, I felt the need to turn inward, to care for myself, and to listen to what my bruised heart was feeling.
During this pause, I immersed myself in new work, new studies, and new ideas—learning more about healing, life transitions, mental well-being, trauma recovery, resilience, and what it means to fully care for ourselves and nurture inner balance.
I’m returning with a renewed focus and excited to share what I’ve learned with you. This will remain a space for reflection and inspiration, but it will also provide thoughtful, research-backed insights, creative approaches to healing, and practical tools for personal growth and transformation.
This blog is for anyone navigating the challenges of being human. If you struggle with life’s constant ebbs and flows, feeling occasionally overwhelmed or teetering on the edge of burnout, I understand. If your days feel like one anxiety-producing event after another, if depression is quietly creeping in, or if you are feeling stuck, I offer you a place to find solace. If you are grappling with major life transitions like divorce, job changes, or navigating the emotions that come with an empty nest, I hope you will find comfort and guidance here. If you struggle with shame or guilt, here you will find a place to work through it and find self-forgiveness.
In this space, we will be participating in Soul Therapy—a practice of self-care, healing, and mental well-being. Together, we’ll explore tools and insights to help us move through life’s challenges with purpose, meaning, and resilience.
We can heal through a combination of proven approaches: education, validation, empathy, and creative expression. We can acknowledge and challenge the voice of our inner critic, and we can embrace vulnerability as a strength. We can find ways to navigate the complexities of life with greater compassion for ourselves and others.
I’m going to share with you what I’ve learned on my own journey these last 14 months and help you to see what you already possess.
This is not just a return to a blog—it’s a reimagined space for connection, growth, and meaningful conversations about mental health, healing, self-discovery. It’s about nourishing your soul.
What We Will Explore Together
You can count on me for inspiration and thoughtful guidance to help navigate life’s challenges.
Here, we’ll explore many topics, including:
- Soul Therapy: How creativity, self-reflection, and vulnerability can guide us toward healing
- Facing the Inner Critic: Practical ways to challenge the negative voice in our minds and cultivate self-compassion
- Healing Shame, Guilt, and Regret: Tools to release what no longer serves us and create space for peace and renewal
- Challenging Perfectionism: How letting go of the need to “get it right” can open the door to joy and progress
- Embracing Vulnerability Recognizing that courage and connection often arise when we allow ourselves to be seen, imperfections and all
We’ll focus on progress over perfection, understanding that healing is a journey, not a destination.
Through art as therapy, coaching strategies, and evidence-based techniques, I’ve seen firsthand how creativity and vulnerability can open doors to healing in ways that words alone cannot.
This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Every individual’s journey is unique, and this blog will reflect that by offering diverse tools and perspectives to meet a variety of needs.
What Is Soul Therapy?
Soul Therapy is about more than just coping—it’s about reconnecting with your true self, finding moments of peace and purpose, and embracing healing as a journey rather than a fixed destination.
At its core, Soul Therapy combines creativity, self-reflection, and intentional practices to help us process emotions, release what no longer serves us, and create space for joy and renewal.
This approach isn’t about avoiding or denying pain. Instead, it’s about meeting ourselves with compassion in the midst of struggle, learning to hold space for our emotions, and discovering tools to help us move forward.
Through this blog, I’ll guide you in exploring how Soul Therapy can show up in your life, whether through journaling, creative expression, mindfulness, or other practices.
Why Vulnerability Matters
Something I’ve learned is that vulnerability is not a weakness—it’s a pathway to strength and connection. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we open the door to growth, authenticity, and deeper relationships.
This blog will be a safe space to explore vulnerability, whether that means confronting our inner critic, repairing relationships, sharing our struggles, or admitting that we don’t have all the answers. Vulnerability is where healing begins.
An Invitation to You
This blog is for anyone seeking tools, insights, and inspiration to support their mental well-being. Whether you’re here to learn, reflect, or simply find encouragement, I’m so glad you’re here.
I hope you’ll join me on this journey of Soul Therapy. Let’s create a space where being curious allows for exploration and consideration of new ways to heal, grow, and find balance.

Here’s to progress, healing, and the courage to take the next step forward.
